Karlsruher Institute of Technology (Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, KIT for short) is a famous German research university focusing on engineering and natural sciences.

KIT was established in 2009 through the merger of the former Karlsruhe University of Technology and the Karlsruhe Research Center.
